I have read Namiki’s thoughts on the Japanese problem, so I would like to criticize it. He said that it was a decline in the marriage rate, and the cause was the decrease in income and the advancement of women to society. After that, he cited the problems at the time it happened. In conclusion he concluded that it is important to promote marriage.
Based on the above, I would like to express my objections. First, he points out the problem in his opinion, but that specific solution is not mentioned at all. In his story the cause of the declining birthrate problem is a decrease in income and women's social advancement. But since then these concrete solutions have not been written, it was written only to promote marriage. I felt that what he should state on this occasion was a measure or idea to promote marriage. Secondly, it is the problem he mentioned. Certainly there may be two reasons for declining birthrate as mentioned above, but I thought that the influence of women's social advancement is not that women leave their marriage but rather that late marriage is going on. Considering that women work continuously even after marriage, it seems that they give priority to work near marriageable age. Also, due to the decrease in income, many couples can not be married early. As the late marriage progresses like this, it becomes more difficult to produce children, and the declining birthrate will progress. Thirdly, it is about the problem that causes a decline in the birthrate. As he stated, the decline of workers will make Japan's economy inevitable and it will be difficult to support the elderly.
